5 BC Companies – CES 2021

New year, new technology, new format, the same sterling opportunity for networking, engagement and innovation. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will be ringing in the New Year with a virtual event running January 11th-14,th to showcase  the latest and greatest gadgets and software. The year 2020 saw historic levels of necessity and invention, and CES 2021 will have it all on display. Several companies from British Columbia will be in attendance as part of the TechWest delegation.

CES is an industry convention centred around tech companies, start-ups, suppliers, purchasers, and other consumer electronic businesses. It’s inevitable when you bring together nearly 200,000 buyers, suppliers and manufacturers that a big part of the allure of CES is the business-to-business networking, opportunities and insight.

Among the companies attending from British Columbia are Scopemedia, Daanaa Resolution IncExcelareBuyNowErgonomyxMighty Oaks and Altumview Systems. Their talents range from AI-driven solutions that help eCommerce, to fast-charging systems for light electric vehicles, to workspace fitness and intelligent vision software and hardware products that can be applied across a broad spectrum of fields. For participating companies, this show is a chance to reveal the latest advancements in their goods and services and to make connections that can further advance research, development and marketability for the coming year.

For more than 50 years, CES has been the global stage for innovation, a forum that launches products and engages with global brands. Since the first show with 250 exhibitors and 17,500 attendees in New York City, CES has grown 10-fold, with awe-inspiring moments, ground-breaking innovators and thousands of product announcements. The event page has a super cool timeline of technology milestones announced there over the years.

Watch the recorded sessions from last year or build anticipation for the event by tuning in to the CES Tech Talk Podcast. This year, keynote speakers include titans of industry, including the CEOs of Verizon, the Consumer Technology Association, General Motors and AMD. Conference SuperSessions feature emerging industry trends and senior executives sharing experiences and predictions for the year ahead.
